Help

Felicula is a player: it shows the subscription you already have. No channels, films or subscription are included — Felicula provides no content, and recommends no provider. Only use a subscription you are entitled to use.

Felicula is designed for LG televisions (webOS); it is coming soon to the LG app store. Names in quotation marks are the ones you see on screen.

Activate your TV

Nothing to type with the remote: the TV shows a code, and you copy it on your phone.

  1. The first time you open it, Felicula shows “Welcome to Felicula”. Choose “I’m new to Felicula” to start your trial, or “I already have an account”.
  2. The TV shows a QR code and an eight-character code. Scan the QR code with your phone — or open api.felicula.app/activation and type the code.
  3. For a trial: enter your email address, that’s all. The page immediately shows your account key: write it down.
  4. The TV opens by itself.

The code only designates this TV, for ten minutes; it gives no access to your account or your licence. If it has expired, the TV prepares a new one.

You already have an account

On your phone, choose “I already have my account key” and enter it. You can also enter it with the remote: “Activate my licence”, then “I have my account key”.

Confirm your address

Until your address is confirmed, your account covers a single device. Open the message we sent you and click the link: it goes up to three.

Your account key

It starts with FLCA-, followed by twelve characters. It is what identifies you — Felicula asks for no password. Our keys never contain the letter O or the digit 0, nor I or 1.

I can’t find my key

On the activation page, choose “Manage my Felicula account, without a TV”, then “I can’t find my key”, and enter the account’s address: the key is sent to it again.

Renew my key

If you showed it somewhere you regret — a screenshot, a message sent to the wrong place — enter it on the activation page, choose “Manage my devices, or renew my key”, then “Renew my key”. The old one stops working at once; your devices already activated notice nothing.

Your devices

A licence covers three devices (only one until the account’s address is confirmed).

Free up a device

  • From your phone: on the activation page, enter your key, “Manage my devices, or renew my key”, then “Free up” on the device’s line.
  • From the TV: Settings › Licence › My account › My devices. If the “All your devices are in use” screen appears, choose the one to free up right there: this TV takes its place at once.

A reinstalled TV often keeps its old name: “Replace a television” offers the device with the same name first.

Rename a TV

On the TV: Settings › Licence › My account › This TV, then “Rename this television”. The name only helps you recognise it in your list of devices.

Change accounts

“Detach this TV” removes it from your account: it can then join another one.

Add your subscription

Your provider gave you one of these two things:

  • an address, a username and a password — the Xtream connection, the most complete. Your provider may call them something else: Host, URL or DNS for the address, Login or User for the username, Pass for the password;
  • an M3U or M3U8 link — a single address, often very long.

From your phone (the easiest)

The pairing page on a phone: you copy the TV’s code, then enter your subscription’s login details.

Choose “Set up from my phone”. The TV shows a QR code and a code: scan the QR code, then enter your subscription’s login details on your phone. They are encrypted for your TV before they leave: our server carries a package it cannot open.

If you type the code instead of scanning the QR code, compare the characters your phone shows with the TV’s: if they differ, go no further.

With the remote

Choose “With the remote”, say what you received, fill in the fields, then “Test this subscription”. Capitals matter in the username and the password. No need to add http:// or https://: Felicula tries both itself.

You don’t have a subscription yet

“Try an example” opens a demonstration catalogue, to discover Felicula. You will then need a subscription, from a provider of your choice: Felicula sells none and recommends none.

Several subscriptions

Settings › Subscriptions › Add a subscription. In that list, OK on another subscription switches to it; OK on the current one opens “Manage”: rename, change the login details, or remove.

No channels appear

  • The test reports a problem. The message says where it comes from. “Username or password refused”: check the capitals. “This subscription has expired” or “is not active”: your provider is the one to contact. “Access is refused from this network”: the block comes neither from your username nor from your password.
  • Some categories were hidden. Settings › Categories shows them again, language by language or one by one.
  • Adult content is missing. It is hidden from the start: see Parental controls.
  • Your provider added channels. Settings › Subscriptions › Update the subscription reads them again, without erasing your favourites or resume points.
  • “The channel won’t start”. Many subscriptions allow only one connection at a time: stop any playback on another device, then try again.
  • No films or series with an M3U link. Some playlists don’t allow them to be told apart reliably; Felicula says so during the test instead of making them up.

If the test shows a diagnostic code, include it in your message: it contains no address, no username and no password.

Parental controls

Detected adult categories are hidden from the start. In Settings › Parental controls, “Set a code”: a four-digit code, asked for to show this content. It is hidden again on every start.

Detection uses the provider’s category names: badly named content may slip through. The code is known only to your TV — we cannot send it back to you.

“Hiding” a title from your lists is not parental control: no code protects it.

Reset the TV

Settings › Subscriptions › Reset this TV, the last line. All your subscriptions are removed from the TV, along with their login details, favourites and resume points: you will have to re-enter everything to come back. Your account and your licence are not affected.

To remove a single subscription: switch to it, then OK on its line opens “Manage” — “Remove this subscription”.

Trial and licence

Fourteen days free, no credit card, with all of Felicula. The trial starts when you first play something, not when the account is opened. One trial per account.

A licence covers three devices. No ads, no tracking. Prices and terms of sale will be published on this site before purchasing opens.

Privacy

  • Your subscriptions’ login details stay on your TV, and are sent to your provider alone. Entered on your phone, they are encrypted for your TV: we cannot read them.
  • What we know about you: your email address, your account key and your devices. Never what you watch.
  • No ads, no trackers — neither in the app nor on this page.
  • Actor portraits: to complete a profile, the TV asks Wikidata for the actors’ portraits — their name alone, never the title you are watching. Settings › Privacy to turn them off.
